Mark's Vivitar 550fd flash Page

I bought this flash to use on the Canon 20D, knowing nothing about dedicated flashes. This one is the M/P/O model, for Minolta, Pentax and Olympus. Doesn't work at all on the Canon. It does work on the Minolta Maxxum 7000. I don't have any Pentax or Olympus cameras yet to test with. It's got a TTL mode, two auto (thyristor) modes, and manual. It doesn't have a sync port. It's head does tilt, but not swivel. It takes 4 regular AA batteries. I use NiMH batteries, and never leave batteries in when not shooting.
